#1 - Family Trip to Creede 8/08

Peaceful sitting-bench down by the little pond. This is the little cabin Pops has remodeled and stabilized. He is currently furnishing the inside.

We all went into Creede on a shopping adventure. Here everyone is taking a break and checking e-mails at the Firehouse.

#2 - Family trip to Creede 8/08

Dad, Pops, Tim, Adam and Rob were at the little pond cutting down dead Aspen trees then hauling them off. They worked sooo hard.

Emma Mae can now say "NaNa" and of course I LOVE it!!

Helping Pops clean up the fountain area in front of the cabin. With all the help and the John Deer, it took maybe 1 1/2 hours to clean the rock out.

Happy 2 year Anniversary to Pops and Judy. We took them to the Antlers for dinner and these girls sang to them as a surprise.

Omaha's Air Show

These are the Air Force ThunderBirds [6 in all].

Different planes used in WW2, Korean War and the Vietnam War [starting at the bottom is the Mohawk, the Invader, and the Mustang].

July 4th in Omaha

We sat on our deck eating apple pie and ice cream while looking out at the horizon [north to south] watching fabulous fireworks displays from all the different subdivisions. Some were professionally done and others were families and kids shooting them off. Couldn't have seen a better show and been more comfortable!

This was the finale and it was awesome.

Olympic Swim Trials

The Summer Olympic Swim trials were here in Omaha at our Quest Center. I was able to attend with my neighbor during 1 session. It was very exciting! We met Katie Hoff's mother [sitting in our box -- she snuck in] and saw Micheal Phelps swim [the 2 top finalist].

The men's session. Michael Phelps was in the 4th row....he won! I found myself so engulfed with the excitement, I was yelling with the best of them : } Fun!

Omaha Storm

4:30pm on Friday. Luckily, Rod had just gotten home. Siren's were blaring.



Standing on our deck looking southwest. You could hear a low rumbling which Rod told me is the sound of hail coming and being tossed around in the clouds.

This is the view to the northwest from our deck. We were watching that area of cloud on the right coming down. Winds got to 90 miles/hour.

The storm hit our house hard. We could hardly hear each other speak. We had water coming inside through the window frames and under the doors on the back of the house. We were without electricity for 14 hours. Little did we know until later, that the storm actually skipped over us and "really" hit the area's 6 minutes away from us. There were 3 deaths that we know of. Within half an hour the sun was shining. Whew....Crazy weather everywhere!!

We're at Senor Frog's on the boardwalk in Peurto Vallarta. The band was practicing for Friday evening and the boys loved it.

Tony absolutely loved the ocean and wanted to get closer and closer. No fear!
