Our Visit cont'd

Papa made it in on the 2nd day. Aliana got the once over by Dr. Papa and as her name verifies [a gift from God] she is perfectly made.

Big brother, Alex is very comfortable holding little Ali [5#14oz.] while talking to mom and Tony.

Amanda is doing very well despite the discomfort from her incision. Holding Aliana, she now understands why she was so uncomfortable right before the birth. Her energy is returning by the day as she sees her children's needs.

Uncle Phil made it in to see Ali on her first day of life. Uncle Phil is AWESOME with the kids. They love him as he plays with play doe, draws with chalk on the garage floor, wrestles and plays ball outside. What an great uncle!

Ali started crying and Alex asked for the pokey. He gently placed it in her mouth and she stopped crying. He did his job very well!

Our First Visit to See Aliana Michele

Daddy introducing Alex and Tony to their new baby sister, Aliana Michele. They were so excited and could hardly wait to hold her.

Tony missed his mommy very much and wanted to crawl right into bed with her. He had many questions about all the tubes around mom's bed.

Tony was very gentle with his sister and kissed her hello.

Alex is the picture of a proud "big brother". He kept saying, "My little sister. My Aliana." Cute!

Noni got a chance to hold her as the boys asked daddy many questions. Note that Alex wanted her back and I kept saying "Ok, just give Noni one more second."

Walking into Alex's school. He goes half days, twice weekly. Note the tiny backpack. He's very proud of the cross on it!

Following his classmates into his classroom, Alex hesitates in saying "See you after lunch"

Lusk Jr.'s visit - cont'd

Visit from the Lusk Jr.'s 2/09

Omaha's Children's Museum was awesome. Will & Noah tried out about everything.

Will feeding a calf that mooed.

Noah loved shopping in the grocery store. He picked out all his own foods, then had to check out and put the foods back on the shelves.

An old fire engine the kids could climb on AND put on the gear. Great!

Strong air flowed out of the steel tubes that allowed the plastic balls to appear as if they were floating in mid air. They loved it! I did too!! : }

It seems Papa gets attacked every time we see the Lusk Jr.'s Noah, of course, joins right in and is thrilled. Papa tries hard to fight back : }

Working very hard to clear off the driveway before Papa gets home from work. I just watch through the window, shaking my head with a smile on my face and in my heart <3

Annual trip to Vail, CO

This is in Beaver Creek village. This man plays a variety of instruments and is so entertaining especially in his costume.

I sat drinking my skinny vanilla latte' people watching in Beaver Creek at the bottom of the mtn.

Watching skiers come down the mountain. So peaceful. I love it!

Dad met me at the top of Vail Mtn. to give me the camera for snow shoeing.

And There He Goes.....sure wish I could ski with him [in my dreams]

This is the group of 18 who went on the shoe shoeing escapade on top of Vail Mtn. I love it because the Forrest Ranger explains what we are seeing, the Pine Beetle, animals in this area, etc. Very educational, in addition to fun.
